  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 large egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup Nutella (or more, as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold the almond-sugar mixture into the meringue using a rubber spatula until combined.
  5. Pipe 1-inch rounds onto prepared baking sheets and let rest for 30–45 minutes until dry to touch.
  6. Bake for 14–16 minutes or until firm on top. Allow them to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, pipe Nutella onto one macaron shell and sandwich it with another.
