  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease three round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, blend eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add to dry ingredients while mixing gently.
  4. Divide the batter into three portions: mix melted chocolate into one for chocolate flavor, pureed strawberries into another for fruity flavor, and keep one plain for vanilla.
  5. Pour each batter portion into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
  6. Frost between layers with cream cheese frosting and cover the entire cake once assembled.
